Wyndford Wagyu is thrilled to announce that we’ve been awarded a prestigious Gold Medal at the 2024 World Steak Challenge for our Denver Steak. In a global competition that celebrates the best beef from around the world, producers go head-to-head to showcase excellence – and we’re incredibly proud to have had our Denver Steak recognised on the world stage. Competing against the finest Wagyu, including the famous Japanese A5, we’ve been recognised on the same level, making us one of the best Wagyu producers not only in Britain, but in Europe. In fact, we were the only UK winners in the Wagyu category and one of only two Gold winners in Europe, officially establishing us as one of the elite Wagyu producers outside of Japan.

The World Steak Challenge is known for its rigorous standards. Each steak submitted is judged by a panel of experts across multiple categories, including appearance, texture, marbling, and, of course, taste. Our Denver Steak excelled in all areas, with its rich marbling and deep, succulent flavour captivating the judges. We’re also delighted to share that our Denver Steak was in the running for Category Winner, further highlighting the remarkable quality of our product.

A particularly versatile cut, the Denver Steak comes from the chuck area and is known for its tender texture and outstanding flavour, making it a favourite with those who enjoy bold, beefy cuts. What sets our Denver Steak apart is its exceptional marbling, which ensures that each bite is both juicy and intensely flavoursome, creating an unparalleled dining experience.

The Gold award is a testament to the dedication we put into raising our Full-Blood Wagyu cattle here at Wyndford Wagyu.
