Wyndford Wagyu recently had the privilege of hosting a remarkable Open Day in conjunction with the Warrendale Wagyu Conference in partnership with the British Wagyu Breeders Association. The event, which took place last month on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th May 2023, was an extraordinary gathering of industry professionals, farmers, and enthusiasts. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all the attendees who made this conference truly exceptional.

The conference began with an insightful focus on Warrendale Wagyu’s commercial supply chain, offering attendees a deeper understanding of their operations. Esteemed industry leaders took to the stage, sharing their expertise and shedding light on various aspects of the Wagyu industry. The presentations were enriching and thought-provoking, providing valuable insights to everyone in attendance.

Following a day filled with enlightening discussions, the conference continued with a delightful gala dinner at the prestigious Telford Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. Attendees enjoyed a captivating evening of networking, forging new connections, and engaging in lively conversations. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the inaugural British Wagyu Ambassador Award to the late Mike Tucker, the founding chairman of the British Wagyu Association who sadly passed away in 2018. Andrew Tucker accepted the award in recognition of his fathers unwavering work of establishing wagyu in the UK.

The second day of the conference commenced with a special visit to Wyndford’s own 400-head Full-blood Wagyu enterprise. Attendees had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the dedication and passion that goes into raising our exceptional Wagyu cattle. Attendees were also treated to some melt-in-your-mouth marble score 13 wagyu, straight off the grill and cooked to perfection by London-based head chef Ed Dutton. It was a truly unique opportunity to witness the meticulous care and attention to detail that ensures the outstanding caliber of our beef.
